spy irem yazici’s kickass embroidery

It’s a bit too easy to get lost in Irem Yazici’s mystical art. From anthropomorphised shooting stars to saxophone-wielding owls, Irem’s art reflects a world that, frankly, we wished existed. Irem, who is based in Turkey, uses surrealism as inspiration for her embroidered worlds (not to mention a healthy heaping of adorable critters).

Irem first began her creative journey with textiles back in 2014, and describes her process as “creating an orchestra out of visual vocabularies in each work by combining different techniques.” Fancy a closer look at Irem’s fab art by visiting her Instagram or online shop.
