feast your eyes on lilly foster-eardley’s adorable felt critters
We reckon that if Beatrix Potter was still around and – instead of living in the idyllic English countryside – was kicking it in the big smoke, her art would look a lot like Lilly Foster-Eardley’s quirky and needle-felt creatures (imagine Peter Rabbit stealing pizza instead of garden-grown veggies!). Based in Bath, UK, Lilly Foster-Eardley is an ace sculpture maker and stop-motion animator (peep below for a taste of her top-notch skills) who uses the idea of urbanisation amongst animals as inspiration for her art.
From ciggie-smoking moles to hotel receptionist mice, Lilly’s art is not only super-cute but also reflects how the natural world has adapted due to humanity’s dominant and ever-changing “dynamic environment”, displaying how animals mirror human behaviour and civilisation. Check out Lilly’s Instagram this-a-way, if you fancy a closer look.
