ted lott redesigns vintage suitcase into miniature abodes
Ah, suitcases. We love them when we need to take countless cute fits across the ocean so we can snap some truly superb snaps for Instagram while we’re overseas, but we have to say we aren’t the biggest fan of them when we have to drag said suitcases over the many steps, rocks and uneven terrain in order to take said pics. However, for Michigan-based crafter, designer and artist, Ted Lott, suitcases are reimagined in ways we have to say we’ve never thought of before.
Vintage suitcases are transformed by Ted Lott into tiny dwellings fit for a super-fancy mouse, but Ted describes his art as explorations into the human need for shelter – especially those made from natural materials.
