issue 74
Prepare to have your socks blown off, frankie types – issue 74 is on sale in Australia today, and just between us, it’s pretty bitchin’. This time round we went a little spring crazy with a lineup of boozy (and not-so-boozy) floral tipples. We also asked four creative duos to divulge the tales of how they met, and paid a visit to a market in the south of China that’s overflowing with sparkly, arty, crafty bits.
There’s a centenarian designing silky scarves, a vet helping pets living rough on the streets, a lady who gets paid to play pop music to penguins and an open letter to that one sorry plant we’ve all killed. We pondered world issues with author and activist Naomi Klein and came up with some nifty ways to escape a crappy convo, too. Oh, and aside from the usual shedload of lovely photography, music, travel and hilarious opinion pieces, we asked a handful of top-notch artists to sketch their favourite childhood toy. Warning: the results will bring a nostalgic tear to your eye.
