this nature trail takes you on a fairy tale adventure

Being surrounded by nature is already pretty dang magical, but being able to spot colourful little houses alongside native critters? We think that makes the great outdoors even greater. Located on the south coast of Western Australia, the Denmark Fairy Doors Trail is a charming and whimsical nature trail that allows visitors to go and find tiny fairy houses that are located alongside both sides of the Denmark River.

These pastel-coloured tiny homes were first discovered by local photographer Ian Rorke, who was snapping pictures of wildlife before he managed to spot a small wooden house supposedly made for fairies. This then led to the creation of many other similar dwellings, and they each help to brighten up the forest trail in a super-adorable way. If you’re interested in planning your trip to the fairy woodlands then hop over here, where you can grab all the info you’ll need.
