this german bridge is chock-full of mystery

By

Seemingly defying all laws of human construction, this picturesque stone bridge is found near Gablenz, East Germany, and forms a perfect circle through its reflection in the water below. Its official name is Rakotzbrücke, but it’s commonly referred to as a ‘devil’s bridge’ due to a lingering myth that it was built by Satan himself – which probably explains its spooky look.

It’s currently prohibited to cross this bridge (due to immense safety issues) but you can still snap some Instagram-worthy pics and capture a perfect circle, with the best time to visit being Autumn due to its clear skies and atmosphere-boosting foliage. Pop over here if you want to see even more ethereal snaps of the supernatural-inspired bridge.
