Well, it’s official: Australia is well and truly obsessed with podcasts. We are currently the reigning champs of countries who listen to them the most, with 43 per cent of us tuning in to listen to a whole range of different podcasts every single month. Wowza! In honour of this nationwide love affair, we have hand-picked a couple of neat podcasts that are full to the brim with advice, rad guests and everything you need to nab up some fresh motivation for work, study or in our personal lives.

SHE’S ON THE MONEY In a time of a rising cost-of-living crisis and the threat of recession rearing its ugly head, we can’t really afford (pun unintended) to not take any and all financial advice we can. She’s On The Money aims to remove the stigma of publicly discussing money and to gain some priceless (last one, we swear) tips of achieving financial freedom. Hosted and created by financial advisor Victoria Devine, She’s On The Money is an excellent podcast on how to save and invest, “without skipping on brunch”, so check them out on wherever you listen to podcasts.
HOW TO FAIL Listen, no one likes failing at something, but there’s so many life lessons to be gained with failure that you might not have gotten if you’ve only ever been successful. Journalist Elizabeth Day hosts this podcast and has a yarn with guests like Greta Thunberg and Tom Daley about resilience, anxiety and how failing at something helped them with their future successes down the line. It’s the perfect podcast to listen to whenever we’re a bit bummed with our biggest or more recent failures, and you can nab more info on Instagram or Elizabeth’s own website.
SEIZE THE YAY Lawyer turned ‘funtrepreneur’ Sarah Davidson is the founder of organic matcha green tea brand Matcha Maiden who interviews a variety of other entrepreneurs and how they built their businesses, while offering some pearls of wisdom along the way. THE GUILTY FEMINIST We all try our darn best to be as educated with the social and political discourses of our time, but let’s be real – it’s borderline impossible to stay on top of everything going on in the world. Luckily, UK podcaster Deborah Frances-White offers a non-judgemental and hilarious take on this phenomenon with The Guilty Feminist, where she chats with feminist speakers, comedians and many more. If you’re the mood for some introspective laughs then add The Guilty Feminist to your list, and visit their website over here.
