I’m a Japanese artist originally from Tokyo, and based in Sydney since 2017.
Australia is best known in Japan for its post-invasion colonial culture. The pandemic lockdowns brought my attention to my local environment and I realised that a rich ecology of native plants existed for aeons before white settlement. Learning about bush tucker culture was fascinating for me. I want to celebrate this unique and interesting flora with this two-colour risoprint postcard set!
