This October, proud Gudanji/Wakaja woman and contemporary artist Ryhia Dank will be releasing Nardurna, a new First Nations colouring book! Ryhia Dank (@nardurna) is a Gudanji/Wakaja woman who grew up in a remote community in the Northern Territory. Now based on Gubbi Gubbi Country, Ryhia's paintings are her storywork. Gudanji/Wakaja people tell stories through pattern and design - Ryhia calls her storying Nardurna.Nardurna (nard-na, meaning woman in Gudanji language), features over 45 artworks that Ryhia has created to share her experiences of growing with family and learning her community. Through Nardurna, Ryhia invites us all to connect with her art and discover the beauty of Gudanji/Wakaja storywork.
