I'm an Auckland-based self-taught fibre and mixed media artist, and I've been creating yarn-covered home decor since 2020.

The idea behind Tree Lamps is reusing and reducing. I believe that every broken or unwanted thing has a chance for a new, brighter life. Tree Lamps are a sculptural combination of second-hand lamp bases, founded tree branches and colourful yarn. I turn ordinary into extraordinary. My interior lamps are quirky, imaginative and eye-catching.

The crafting process requires a lot of time and patience to wrap every inch, including the cord and the bottom of the lamp; not cutting the thread for as long as possible. The tools I use include a hot glue gun and one or two cable ties to merge everything together.
