these recycled wool blankets are an ode to the tasmanian wilderness
Inspired by the coastal, alpine and leafy-green environments found all over Tasmania, Waverley Mills’ newest super-cosy collection looks pretty lovely. It looks even nicer knowing that they’re all made from recycled wool, which means that heaps of offcuts and discarded wool have been saved from ending up in landfills for decades – how nice is that!?
The designers over at Waverley Mills – a 150-year-old fabric mill that is the last of its kind in Australia – wanted these environmentally friendly wares to reflect the landscape around them, specifically the Bay of Fires, Tarkine Forest and Cradle Mountain, and we reckon that they’ve done a pretty stellar job. Hop on over to their online shop this way, if you’re keen to scope them out for yourself.
