The Dead Sea has been a spiritual haven for humans since Biblical times, with many people still to this day flocking to the iconic salt-lake to take in its dreamy atmosphere and float along its receding shores. Ukrainian photographer, Alexander Bronfer, captures this ancient fascination with his ‘Under Sodom Mountain’ photo series.
Life may be unable to survive within the lake’s extreme saltiness (hence the ‘dead’ in its name), but Alexander’s work just goes to prove that our obsession with the Dead Sea is still truly alive and flourishing.
