I’m a designer who mixes contemporary and handcrafted techniques. The Colour Island flower holder comes from my brand Dorkus Design’s latest collection. I wanted to develop more contemporary art objects for everyday use, so painted detailing onto transparent lucite slabs. The paint adds a new layer to the slabs and creates a trippy effect.
