There are lots of outdated and sexist rituals in marriage that no longer fit modern love. Concepts like being ‘given away’ or fighting over the bouquet could really do with an overhaul.
That’s why we created the Shotgun Sheilas, a rock 'n' roll elopement service in Melbourne. With venues restricting numbers and overall uncertainty, couples are opting for smaller weddings with their best mates or chosen family as witnesses.
Our services are affordable, memorable and support small hospitality businesses. Couples can bring up to four guests to a booth at one of three handpicked retro record bars around Melbourne, get a short and sweet ceremony, and share a bottle of bubbles and a round of shots. We capture all the feels on film, while the couple’s favourite record plays in the background.
