“My entry is an excerpt of my collection of poems from my first poetry collection, In Amber, which I decided to self-publish in print format in December 2016. The title focuses on the beauty in the organic nature of moments and emotions and preserving memories. The primary themes I explore through In Amber are love, coming of age, loneliness and healing. These themes are explored through the lens of the teenage experience. These words are the set list I’ve always wanted to play. A collection of poetry and prose my memories wrote. From my spine, to your spine. This is In Amber.”
