“My piece is a large cross-stitch embroidery made with cotton threads on a piece of aida cloth. The work began when I was 16, and now, after approximately seven years, it’s complete. It's a tribute to my all-time favourite band! This colourful and funky image from Smash Hits magazine was displayed at my local café – it brings back memories and makes people smile. When I started stitching, I was a teenager and my wildest dream was to present this canvas to the band. The dream is still alive! This work has united me with dozens of fellow fans around the world.”
