I’m a Peruvian videographer and artist living in New Zealand. I started experimenting with embroidery last year, using my street pictures as a starting point for my work. Since I’ve been in lockdown in Italy for the past three months, I started a series based on my family portraits and people I met on the streets during my limited time outside. I used embroidery to show what was happening at the moment, whether it was the pandemic or women's participation in the Black Lives Matter protests.
