Michele Volpi creates the kind of detailed, super-realistic illustrations and diagrams that you’d normally find on the dusty pages of old science textbooks. Except, rather than penning his curious anatomical and botanical artworks on paper, Michele inks his work on human skin. While booking a spot with the talented Italian tattooist is tricky (he’s in high demand thanks to his clean lines and fascinating designs), perusing his Instagram page still provides us with a hefty dose of inspiration (or should we say… inkspiration. Sorry.)
