Auspicious Plastic is an independent podcast about precious objects and the stories behind them. Started as a personal project after my mum died, it has given me the opportunity to explore personal, intimate and universal stories about family, love, loss and community. Ten episodes and 11 guests in, I’ve been inspired and deeply moved – as has the little audience that’s grown around the series.
It’s a DIY project, published independently. Returning to Australia from a stint in Berlin to ‘begin again’ as a new podcast maker, I’d love to grow the audience and format, gain support and exposure, and find it a ‘good home’.
