My piece ‘Soleil’ – which was part of my exhibition, Blush – is photographic, embroidered, beaded and finished with a coat of warm wax. I create my works using fabrics, flowers and peaceful movement. My hope is that people will find a quietness, a delicate femininity and strength when viewing my work. The addition of stitching is a deliberate act of taking time. To linger. To move forward slowly, quietly, and with consideration.
