laura casey – fossickers way
Craft

This jewellery collection was inspired by the bushland around the Yarra River in Warrandyte, where I grew up. The project draws on the deep histories embedded within the environment – Warrandyte was a gold-mining town, and to this day, gold remnants are still visible within the landscape. I also collected flora and turned it into wearable artefacts using the lost-wax casting technique.
