This year has been really special for me. I’ve been working and collaborating with some amazing creative friends, performing as the Kayleigh Pincott Quintet (featuring Sophie Min, Zac Sakrewski, Lachlan Hawkins, Tristan Rogers and Kieran T. Stevenson) and releasing my debut album, Solace. It’s comprised of mostly original songs, exploring themes of self-love, the beauty of taking time out, empathy and relationships. I’ve really loved stretching out from traditional jazz into more contemporary styles, especially writing and performing my original compositions. Since the release of Solace in May, we’ve been playing shows around Brisbane and Melbourne and have featured on ABC Jazz radio and Brisbane’s 4zzz.
