I’m a natural dyer who works primarily with foraged plant waste to create permanent colours and patterns on textiles. I use kitchen waste (avocado stones, onion skins, pomegranate rinds), homegrown plants (marigolds, roses and geraniums) and foraged plant materials (eucalyptus leaves and bark) to create natural colours. I work with natural fibres and compostable dyes so that I don’t pollute the waterways. Each dye bath can be used to water the garden, and all materials go back into the soil to grow more plants.
