‘The Cult of True Womanhood’ is an ongoing series of mixed media paper collages that explores fourth-wave feminism and the #metoo movement. I have my own lifetime sexist and #metoo experiences, and one response to the courage of those contributing to this uprising is the pure sense of joy and freedom when I imagine that culture is finally in ruins. There are serious aspects to this movement, but throughout the series (nine in total) I wanted to show the inevitability and the inherent positivity of its impact as something to be celebrated.
