The First Time is a podcast about the first time you publish a book. Part reality show, part writers’ masterclass, listeners hear Katherine and Kate traverse all the major milestones, from getting an agent to the book launch, first festival, etc. They also hear from other Australian writers about their first times.
So many writing podcasts focus on writing – this one is all about publication. But it doesn’t offer advice on what to do; rather, it lets you go behind the scenes, to find out how it feels. It’s like you get to listen in on a private conversation (/therapy session).
