KATE DOHERTY – THE OLIVE HAT

I design, shape and sew custom hats. The exterior of this hat is mate from olive-coloured felt, Petersham ribbon, leather lacing and black-cockatoo feather. The interior is made of vintage Japanese silk liner and a brown leather sweatband. This was a custom piece for a customer – the hat was hand-shaped and features a curled brim, also done by hand.
