I’m a tattooist and artist who is passionate about intersectional feminism and pop culture. My paintings challenge patriarchal norms in art, which remain today. As the 1989 Guerrilla Girls poster declares: Do women have to be naked to get into the Met. Museum? Less than five per cent of artists in the Modern Art sections are women, but 85 per cent of the nudes are female.

This oil painting showcases crafter Kitiya Palaskas in her home studio. I love spending time with artists to create a portrait that reflects them and their work.
