The title comes from the colour captured, but also from its older meaning, ‘to decorate’. I caught an Uber out to Westgate Park to get a glimpse of the elusive pink salt lake. My, what a sight! Blush-coloured water. I decorated it with a bouquet of roses and celebrated being able to admire its ephemeral beauty with a toss of geranium petals. Pink can mean ‘peak of perfection’, and I reckon I caught the lake at its best.
