Howlite craft elemental, cinematic dreamscapes, marrying elements of trip-hop with pop songwriting. The project is the brainchild of Alison Thom, who uses writing and recording as a process of “trying to understand what is happening in my head”. Thom’s beguiling vocals, coupled with the band’s brooding undertones, captivate in the same way as London Grammar or Daughter.
