I’ve developed a style of unique colourful, textured polymer clay jewellery items. Nicknamed ‘weirdlings’, as, well, they’re a little bit weird! Some pieces have fibres stitched through them, bringing together my love of fibre art and manipulating clay. The jewellery pieces came about after working on fibre art, weavings, acrylic framed ‘fibre paintings’, and wanting to move into making wearable items that had a unique aesthetic. I’m able to push the boundaries of shape and texture and colour and scale, fusing fibre art and polymer clay together. The possibilities are endless!
