“This piece is a short story about the time my dad accidentally took me fishing at a nudist beach when I was little. A lot of my writing comes from me recounting stuff that happened to me as a kid, mostly because nostalgia always makes a story more enjoyable to write. Originally, when I tried to submit my first draft of this to the student magazine at my uni, it felt a bit 'body negative', and I wasn't very proud of it. Hopefully now I've written a tale that embraces bare bums, while still acknowledging that they look pretty funny.”
