georgina chadderton – family traits: a comic about growing up, family and autism

“Family Traits is a six-page comic about my relationship with my brother Rob, who has severe autism. It was published on TheNib.com in August 2016. It’s a taste of the 300-page graphic novel memoir I’m currently writing about my experience of growing up with Rob. I began the book last year with the support of the Colin Thiele Scholarship for Creative Writing. I’m writing this book for 12-year-old me – I want to create the kind of book that would have helped me feel less alone; a book I could have shown my friends to help them understand my brother.”
