“My work is a plastic portrait assemblage of the amazing Jenny Kee that I created last year for a show in Newtown. As Jenny herself loves using colour, fashion and Australiana, and also loves clash as much as I do, I decided to make a cheeky plastic portrait of her. I worked from an image, then I found the right skin tone using baby dolls and Barbie dolls. I then collected the right toys to suit the sitter and brought it all together on a base that can be wall mounted.”
