This project is a bit of a personal one. It responds to ideas of shifting the focus back to us as individuals, allowing time and space to prioritise ourselves, for ourselves. Investing in our own comfort by surrounding ourselves with visual and tactile luxuries, providing a secure and safe place that encourages rest, recuperation and time to refocus and rebuild.
Hand-woven entirely by me in fibres such as silk, cotton and mohair, the pieces become something as simple as a sensory trigger to physically create brief moments of comfort and pause.
