The Premmie Knitting Club is a tribe of knitters from across New Zealand and Australia, knitting for premature babies in the NICU. We do one big drive each year from March to June – in 2018 we donated over 2500 knits to the North Shore Hospital SCBU in New Zealand and Royal Randwick Children's Hospital in Sydney.
We encourage knitters of all ages to take part. We have teenagers, adults and retirement villages involved – it's very special! I was a premmie baby, so this project is extremely close to my heart and my way of giving back.
