check out yuni yoshida’s surreal fruit snaps
Fruit isn’t just yummy and good for our bodies, they’re also pretty prolific models, too. Apples, bananas, grapes and more have been the muse of some of history’s most beloved artists, and they’re basically the poster children of the entire still-life genre. Yuni Yoshida’s vibrant and unique photography completely transforms the colourful food group in ways we’ve never seen before, and we’re just a smidge bit smitten with all of her photos.
The Japan-based artist merges apples into oranges, cuts lemons and limes into diamonds, creates pixelated bananas from their own skins (which is a tad morbid if you really start to think about it) and even uses flowers to resemble fruit that if you squint, you really couldn't tell that they weren't edible. Take a hop, skip and a jump over to Yuni’s website over here, if you want to have a closer look at her lovely photography.
