check out japan’s creative playgrounds
In Japan, children's playgrounds are a sight to behold. Vibrantly coloured and brimming with creativity, they can be found in local parks scattered across the country. These structures pay tribute to the classic and sentimental vibes of old-school and retro Japan, and are designed after iconic themes and symbols from Japanese culture.
From a mini–Mount Fuji slide nestled in Nagoya to a devil slide hiding in suburban Tokyo, these delightful pieces of urban architecture add a pop of colour and fun to the Japanese suburbs, standing out against the rows of apartment buildings and houses.
They sure do look different in the dark, though. After spying my photos above, check out Japanese photographer Kito Fujio's snaps – Kito ventured out into the night to shoot these wonderful playgrounds.
