The Happy Scrubs is a not-for-profit project born out of the pandemic. We coordinate a large pool of volunteer sewers to make scrubs, gowns and caps for healthcare workers. We provide patterns, fabric and supplies, and distribute the garments for free. Many of our sewers have been stood down from their previous jobs and separated from their families, so this project has allowed them to find purpose from the safety of their own homes. Since April 2020, 167 sewers have made over 1000 garments.
